A Dearth of 'R'
Trains go by, pulling the wind out of me.
A little child runs along the track.
Chasing the train.
"No, dear, that's not the train we're taking."
The scent of lavender permeates the air.
What hope. What hope indeed. Is it real? Who knows?
Bells ring out like calls from heaven
As the cars drone on below.
My time has come.
It's time to go some place new.
"Excuse me sir, where does this train go?"
"You'll know when you get there. Just take a seat, close your eyes and sleep. You'll awake when you arrive."
And so I sit down and sleep in peace as the train rushes down the track to some place white and bright.
"Goodbye everyone. I'll miss you all. I don't know when your train will come or which way it'll go, but I'll see you soon, I hope."

Title: Awakening

This is the first draft, ergo it is still mediocre and not representative of the final completed version.
Synopsis:
My name is Thomas. One evening in my life, I met
someone. I connected with him in ways that I have not
connected with anyone. I would like to share with you
what it is like to meet someone special, to have your
life changed, to find reason to be alive.
Was it all a dream? If it was, then this dream will be
my reality.
Content warning:
If you are offended by atheism, please go read the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.
If you are offended by homosexuality, please go read Sexual behavior in the Human Male by Alfred Kinsey.
If you are offended by philosophy, kill yourself as your life is inherently meaningless.
If you are offended by vulgarities, you don't belong on the internet.
The novel contains all of the above.
